Charging the battery

The LiPo Battery gives autonomy of between 12 and 36 hours, depending upon usage.

To fully charge the unit from 0 – 100% with the supplied USB cable and charger takes around 4 hours.

Battery life displays on an icon at the top right of the screen on every page, you can also the battery status in greater detail via: Menu > Hardware > Battery

Tips to maximize the battery life:

If you are taking a long vol-biv trip you may want to maximize the battery life. Do this by:

1. Minimising the backlight intensity via: Menu > Display > Auto Brightness
2. Turning OFF the screen by starting Hike & Fly mode via: Menu > IGC Logging (Logger and vario will continue to run in this mode)
3. Screen will also turn OFF with a double click of the ON/OFF button, which also locks the unit. Hyper keeps track logging in both Lock and Screen off mode.
