Navboxes & Layouts

Navboxes are an essential way to display data on the screen. SeeYou Navigator has a long list of valuable navboxes. It is expected, that you study which ones you will need for the kind of flying you will do.

Keep it simple. Display navboxes that you will need. Color-code information that belongs together.

Some task-related navboxes are automatically displayed before takeoff, within turnpoint zones and on final glide. Fly a task to understand which navboxes are automatically displayed in connection with flying the task. This will save you a lot of screen space.

Add a navbox

To add a new navbox on the screen, tap and hold with your finger on any of the existing navboxes. Choose “Add” from the context menu that will appear. Then choose your navbox, place it on the screen. Repeat this as many times as you need. To finish adding navboxes just tap anywhere outside of the blue boxes.

Arrange navboxes

You are free to move, resize, change color and transparency of the Navboxes. Arrange them in such a way that they will help you see and understand the information at first glance.

Move navboxes by tapping and holding on the navbox that you want to move, then drag it to its new position. Note that you can move the Menu and Layer navboxes just the same as all others.

Change the size of a navbox by moving the handle in the right bottom corner of the navbox. Each navbox can be resized to many different shapes and sizes which nicely stack to each other.

Color and transparency

You can easily organize navboxes in easy to understand islands of data. Change color and transparency for navboxes to visually organize data on the screen.

In this example the final glide navboxes are transparent blue while basic navigation to target is black and solid:

To change the color and transparency of a navbox, tap and hold it then select Edit from the menu.

Press Save when you are done to return back to the map screen.

Remove a navbox

Tap and hold on a navbox that you want to remove. Then choose “Remove” from the drop-down list.

Save Screen layout

Once you are done with setting up your screen just the way you like it you can save your layout. This is particularly useful when you want to switch between a few different layouts for different use. Go to Menu > Settings > Widget Layout > Save current layout. You can create as many layouts as you like.

To load another layout, go to Menu > Settings > Widgets layout > select one and switch to that one.

Load Screen layout

To load a screen layout that you saved before, go to Menu > Settings > Widgets layout.

To start with, some default layouts already ship with the app, but feel free to save your own for later use.
