SIM card inserted, but no Internet?

When you insert SIM card and there is no Internet, highly likely the Access Point Names (APN) need to be entered manually into your Omni / Oudie N.

You can find these settings in Android Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network > Advanced > scroll to the end of the list > Access Point Names. You will have to edit or add APNs for your operator.

Please talk to your SIM card provider to find the correct APN settings.

To setup a new APN, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Android settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network > Advanced > Access Point Names (APN).
  2. Tap on the “+” item at the top of the screen to enter a new APN
  3. Enter anything in the “name” field. It is free text, whatever helps you identify this SIM card
  4. Enter the “APN” field (without quotes)
  5. Reboot the device, the Internet should work

Some SIM card providers may require you to enable “Roaming” in order for the card to work. With some other providers, this setting could cause additional cost. Please consult your SIM card supplier whether “Roaming” should be enabled or not.
