Archiving the competition

3 months after the competition is finished it will automatically be archived. We will make a hard copy and an additional backup of the competition. After that date the competition will no longer be editable and becomes read-only. This way we can ensure that the quality of the results presented at Soaring Spot is consistent and that it will not break “next year” during the preparations for the next competition.

The only exception to this rule is that pilot’s Ranking List IDs can be changed at a later date in order to submit the results to The IGC Ranking List easily.

If you need to make any changes to the competition after it has been archived please contact Naviter and we will help you get things done.

In the past scorers wanted to use past competitions to prepare for new ones (and sometimes ruined the original results in the process). We have a test server for this purpose now. See this page for more information about how to test Soaring Spot and SeeYou Competition.
